Research on Meat Quality Detection and Recognition based on Machine Vision and Electronic Nose

Abstract

This paper designs a nondestructive testing and equipment for agricultural and animal products, and designs a testing method according to the test device. The method can capture the images of farm and animal products transmitted on the transmission belt in real time by the camera and obtain the video frame image of the current video content in real time. The article recognition is carried out from the video frame image and the main color information is extracted. According to the main color information, qualified agricultural and animal products are selected. The nondestructive testing method and device of the agricultural and animal products transmitted on the transmission belt shall be identified by visual technology first, and some of the agricultural and animal products which may have problems due to appearance color shall be screened out, and then the smell re inspection shall be conducted for the selected agricultural and animal products by electronic smell. Finally, the smell re inspection of agricultural and animal products through manual re inspection, ensure the fresh and healthy after the inspection. The experimental data show that the method can improve the accuracy of nondestructive testing of agricultural and animal products.
