Abstract

The key technology for fifth-generation wireless networks is the Massive multipleinput-multiple-output (MIMO) and it can improve energy efficiency and spectral efficiency.
To ensure cost-effectiveness, adaptation in cellular network infrastructure is performed. It better
than expensive high power mounted base stations and heterogeneous elements which include
microcells, femtocells, picocells, and remote radio heads distinguished by physical size,
backhaul, powers, and propagation characteristics. This adaptation provides many challenges
for network management and co-existence. In this paper, a compatible Heterogeneous Network
architecture is proposed where the backhaul for millimeter-wave small cells is provided by
Massive MIMO enabled macro cell using a 6GHz band. The major contribution of the HetNet
architecture will overcome the problem of Channel State Information(CSI) feedback.
