Abstract

Municipal Solid Waste management is essential for service provided by municipal
authorities in our city. we collect the total waste generated and waste collected only a fraction
received by proper disposal. The insufficient collection and inappropriate disposal of solid
wastes represent a source of water, land and air pollution and poses risks to human health and
the environment. Solid waste management is an internal element of modern society. So many
ways to clean municipal solid waste in useful of modern technology . municipal solid waste
system of Kadapa municipal corporation is a district municipal corporation of Andhrapradesh
in india. This area is situated at the river of penna. The dumped garbage is mixed with river
water so that negative impact will occur on environment . the process of solid waste
management system of Kadapa municipal corporation protects large rivers from uncollected
or dumped garbage. The quantity of municipal solid waste generated in India is increasing
rapidly due to increasing population and change in lifestyles The present study is to find out
the problems municipal solid waste in Kadapa town. The basic approach to deal with waste
therefore. The term landfill is used to describe a unit of operation for final disposal of
municipal solid waste on land, design and constructed with the objectives. The term
determines to be a secured landfill and engineered landfills which are also sometimes applied
to municipal solid waste in disposal units. The study mainly focused on the design of landfill
