Abstract

Wind and Solar photovoltaic energy systems are emerging renewable energy technologies and can be developed as viable options for the electricity generation in future. The present work investigates the Load frequency control of Micro Grid system which is interconnected with a single area reheat thermal power system  and the Micro Grid system comprises of Wind turbine generators (Wg), Solar photovoltaic (Pv), Diesel engine generators (Dg), Fuel cells (Fc), with Aqua electrolyzer (Ae), Battery energy storage systems (Bss) and Electric Vehicle (EV) system . Deviation occurs in power system frequency for sudden changes in Load or Generation or both. To confront the frequency excursion problem, the present work considers the design of Load frequency controller based on JAYA algorithm.

The Simulation results represents that the proposed algorithm based controller improves the overall dynamic response in terms of settling time in profile with deviation of frequency.
