Spectrum Sensing Methods, Applications and its performance for Cognitive Radio System

Abstract

We present a technical survey on spectrum sending methods and approaches, which are essential
for the progress of the cognitive radio system. Depending on their methodologies, challenging problems in
cognitive radios are discussed in this paper. Numerous features of spectrum sensing issues are considered for
cognitive radio (CR) viewpoint & multi-dimensional spectrum sensing methods arepresented, which is
demonstrated its efficacy over the last few years. This survey paper provides a comprehensive overview of
several approaches of spectrum sensing methods, applications, and performance in the cognitive radio
system. We track an approach predicated categorization wherein the advantages and constraints of each
approach are compared.
