Perception of Millennials Towards Gig Working

Abstract

Labour markets are believed to be undergoing substantial transformation, where the traditional employment relationship is supplemented or swapped by the gig work mediated with the help of digital era. The way in which organizations share employment relationship with the workers in particular has given rise to the escalating public interest but has yet to bring about a correlative academic literature. It sure has stimulated a debate between the people looking for employment for the regulations to be involved and the legal protection practices in this non-standard employment. Most of the millennials seems to be inclined towards taking part in the fostering gig economy. Yet the reasons as to why and what influences the populace to move ahead into the gig economy is uncertain. We start to trace the outlines of the structured research agenda, by trying to pace out detailed indicatory questions that needs to be put out in the world for the better comprehension of the Gig work employment relationship. This paper intends to shed some on the motivational factors and desires that make the millennials interested in the shared economy. This paper also try to establish the magnitude of the importance of employment for the millennials and their engrossment in the gig economy.
