Abstract

Infill walls are the supportive walls which upheld divider and seals the edges of 3-D framework
building (usually made of reinforced concrete or steel). A multistory structure having soft (open) story base
floor is naturally prone for failure because of seismic loads, the construction of these buildings are still
considerable in developed countries. Present observation a G+10 model in zone five is considered consisting
of all significant elements that affect the strength, mass and stiffness of a building is generated by using
ETABS. To examine the impact on building having infill walls with soft storey and infill walls without soft
storey in ground floor during a tremor, seismic analysis is performed by using response spectrum method
and pushover method to determine performance level, capacity and demand of the considered version.
Results for the subsequent earthquake demands thinking about the ductility coefficients of the building and
inelastic behavior of the structure are evaluated
