Tribological Property Test of Non-Asbestos Friction Block under Different Conditions of Parameters

Abstract

In allusion to non-asbestos friction material, the tribological properties of wSM-3 resin based asbestos-free friction block on 16Mn steel were studied by using friction and wear testing machine, and the variation law of friction factor with contact pressure P sliding speed and contact surface temperature T was studied. In addition to building the   curves, the   curves and the   curves, take the product  , the ratio    and the ratio   of the  and the   as the parameters, explore curves characteristics of  ,   and  , set up the relational model between the changing of friction factor   and different conditions parameters based on set operation. Analyze the overall changing trend of the friction factor   under different working conditions; reveal the mutation characters and interval features of the friction factor changing. The relation model between the conditions parameters and the friction factor   is not only the necessary conditions of safe operation of braking system but also the boundary condition of material tribological design, which cannot be neglected for tribological design and tribological control. The test research ideas and data processing methods also apply to other friction materials performance research.
