Spatial Relevance Analysis of Productive Services Agglomeration and Regional Economic Growth in the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area

Abstract

Producer services agglomeration has become an important driving force for the "new normal" economic growth. This paper uses the spatial Gini coefficient to test whether there is agglomeration in producer services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (the Greater Bay Area), analyzes the influence of such agglomeration on regional economic growth and analyzes their spatial correlation. The results show that the Greater Bay Area does exist the cluster phenomenon of producer services and the trend of cluster intensifies. There is significant spatial correlation between producer services agglomeration and regional economic growth, and producer services agglomeration has a one-way promoting effect on economic growth. It is suggested that some measures should be taken to further promote the cluster of producer services in the Greater Bay Area. Optimize resource allocation, adjust and improve the internal structure of producer services. Also make full use of our geographical advantages attract professionals from the modern service industry.
