Enhancing Learning Media Development Course Through Group Investigationas Cooperative Learning Model

Abstract

The major objective of this study was to investigate the level of validity, practicality and effectiveness of cooperative-based learning media development course specifically through group investigation in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty ofEducation, Islamic Institute of Muhammadiyah Bima. It employeda research and development design to produce products in the form of valid, practical and effective learning toolsof cooperative-based learning media development coursethrough group investigation. In terms of that, the author as the researcher used the Four-D learning development model which includes four phases such as define,design,developand disseminate. Equally important,after developing the research tools,its validity was done by three experts which then followed by the tools testing. Also,its effectiveness was carried out by evaluating students’ ability. As a result, it shows that the learning tools in particular syllabus, semester lesson plan, lecturer’s manual, student’s textbook, student’s worksheet and evaluation tools are declared valid, practical and effective for learning media development course in  instructional media inthe Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Education, Islamic Institute of Muhammadiyah Bima.
