Servant Leadership An Effective Model For School Leadership: Organisational Effectiveness As An Outcome
Abstract
The present study aimed to find out the role of servant leadership on organisational effectiveness. The relationship was assessed through the two-directional approach. Firstly the relationship between servant leadership and organisational effectiveness. Secondly, the indirect effect of faculty trust between the relationship of servant leadership and organisational effectiveness. Data was collected from 162 school teachers working in private and public schools in the Maldives. SmartPLS 3.0 was used to analyse the data collected. The results of the structural equational modelling show that there is a significant positive relationship between servant leadership and organisational effectiveness and trust mediates the relationship between servant leadership and organisational effectiveness. It is suggested that individuals who exhibit leadership qualities are likely to participate in administrative tasks to ensure that schools have enough tools to function towards an optimum standard. This study is one of its own kind, to the best of the current study author’s knowledge no such study has been conducted before.
