Response Time Analysis of Firefighting Operations Using ArcGIS Network Analyst in Puchong Fire Station Malaysia

Abstract

It is the vision of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia to ensure the efficient operation of the service, effectively and systematically to save lives and devastation of property in accordance with the provisions of the law. Fire control services are serious services in each society which intent at keeping life and property. Puchong fire station one of the sample which they are providing services and assistance for specialized in designing, developing and executing strategies to provide quality fire-fighting operations for protecting the lives, property and the environment. One emerging tool that is aiding the fire service optimize emergency services is Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. The article utilizes spatial and non-spatial data having evaluated their validity and reliability.
