SINGLE PHASE MULTILEVEL INVERTER BASED ON A NOVEL SWITCHING SCHEME USING BUCK CONVERTER
Abstract
This paper presents a single phase multilevel inverter (MLI) based on a novel switching scheme. This new design produces a substantial decline in the count of power devices and capacitors required to implement a multilevel output battery-powered application. The proposed scheme has two stages namely, DC-DC converter and Inverter. Multilevel are achieved for the inverter by altering duty cycle of the DC-DC converter. In the MATLAB/SIMULINK setting, the proposed idea was implemented and the outcomes were validated.
