Abstract

The wind turbine blades manufacture from composite materials (fiber glass) need to detailed description of the vibration, fatigue caused by mass missing and fatigue behavior.it can be achieved by introducing an experimental investigation on rotating wind turbine model. The data collected from changing rotor speed and different amplitude moments together with ultimate moment .the theoretical M-N relationship and taking the slope of (12) because it was widely reported for good performance unidirectional laminates. The suggestion theoretical M-N relationship and Palmgren-Miner\s rule were used to predict the safe life for the blades of the wind turbine model.  The general form of the M-N equation:-  Ma = Mu ×N (-1/m)  To analyze the wind turbine blades which are subjected to spectrum loading by different rotor speeds.  The original linear damage accumulation rule according to Palmgram and Miner was used in addition to the proposed theoretical M-N relationship. So the total damage at failure is one, then it can be seen that for both types of spectrum loading (increasing and decreasing), the actual damage value at failure was slightly more than one. The experimental data obtained from the change of air speed, rotor speed and amplitude moments together with the ultimate moment obtained from bending test were used to estimate number of cycle to failure.
