Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) refers to the individual behavior that is flexible, not
openly or acknowledged by the official reward system. OCB indicates the alleged ‘extra-role behavior,’
which significantly impacts workplaces. This study establishes the positive impacts of OCB that extends to
both individual employee behaviors and overall organizational citizenship behavior. The current study will
use past available research works and literature on OCB to understand the impact of OCB on workplaces
through expounding on the following concepts: service-focused behaviors, contextual performance,
innovation-promoting behaviors, antecedents, and consequences of OCB.
