Abstract

This paper analysis the effect of simultaneous addition of  nano silica and nano titanium dioxide in various proportion to a high strength concrete mix and their effect on concrete in terms of terms of 7 days compressive strength, 28 days compressive strength, Rebound hammer value and Ultrasonic Pulse velocity after 28 days of curing, effect of 28 days curing in a 4% sodium chloride solution after normal curing of 28 days on compressive strength and effect of 28 days of curing in a 5% sodium sulphate solution after 28 days of normal curing on compressive strength of the concrete have been analysed. The nano silica and nano titanium dioxide were added in three proportions, one compromised of 0.5% (by weight of cement used) of each of nano silica and nano titanium dioxide, the second included 1%(by weight of cement used) of each of nano silica and nano titanium dioxide, and the third included 1.5%(by weight of cement used) of each of nano silica and nano titanium dioxide.
