Abstract

- The Covid 19 pandemic has led to impromptu closure of all schools & educational institutions as apart
of social distancing and global lockdown. In these difficult times, online learning or computer enabled education
has emerged as a potent means for continuing the process of education without making life come to a standstill.
The study gives an insight in to the benefits of online classes & the challenges faced by school level teachers in
handling the unfamiliar technology & imparting knowledge while maintaining the class decorum at the same
time. Though the state of Kerala is not new to e-learning , this sudden shift from regular classes to online mode
has proved a challenge for the government, educational institutions as well as the individual teachers.
