Abstract

At present, more and more attention has been paid to bridge structural health monitoring. This paper presents an integrated technology platform of intelligent health monitoring system for large bridge structures based on image data. This system combines 4G wireless transmission technology with 6LoWPAN technology to build a wireless sensor network bridge structure condition monitoring platform, and establishes a multi-level network architecture composed of data acquisition node, central node (Gateway) and remote server. At the same time, this paper designs a test platform of bridge structure health detection system based on wireless sensor network. The simulation results of the test platform show that it is feasible to replace a simple wireless sensor network only equipped with large capacity battery with a layered sensor network system with gateway nodes which can provide energy and wired communication for sensor nodes in the debugging and exploration stage of bridge structural health monitoring system. The bridge health image data obtained through wireless sensor network can help technicians to judge the working condition of the bridge and early warn its risk. The system provides a reference for the development of intelligent health monitoring technology of bridge structure.
