Abstract

Poverty and rural development can be linearly defined that both are mutually contributing variables. Efforts are
made to unravel poverty problems in East Kalimantan by finding an ideal model to increase village and local
community income. This research is an qualitative research analysis. In-depth analysis and describing the condition
of the problem from the research location of data collection, reductive data, display data, and drawing conclusions /
verification. The results of this study are the integrated independent village model is a development model that can
be used to reduce poverty. The strength of this model emphasizes the use of local village wisdom and active
participation from the community
