Abstract

This Long Term Evolution (LTE) has emerged to be an efficient solution by the 3GPP to deliver the good Quality of Services (QoS), throughput and fairness in the cell. For delivering the quality of throughput, here the scheduling of resources and traffic among the users plays an important role. Resource scheduling plays a vital role in evaluating the overall system throughput and specially for the cell edge users, whose suffering from the intercell and intra cell interference. 3GPP develop various approach for improving the performance of such types of users. Frequency reuse approach is one of them, where own area of cell is divided into different cell spectrum. In this paper we modified the existing FFR approach which enhanced the overall system throughputs. We compare the modified FFR with existing system, BCQI and Round robin approach in terms of Fairness, Average Cell Throughput, Spectral Efficiency, Average Throughput and Peak Throughput, our modified Approach shown the enhanced results in all terms.
